ObserveID Connector Guide

This ObserveID Connector Guide provides specifications of parameters and schema attributes per every integration set up for data exchange and interaction between the diverse ecosystem of corporate software and ObserveID. The document also outlines the scope of data received as well as operations performed to fetch it, particularly:

  • modes of data exchange: read-only, read-write;
  • registration account and access pre-requisites;
  • connection parameters;
  • integration data and schema attributes;
  • Provisioning attributes and more;

The Connector Guide is structured around Integration Types and data exchange between the systems, where an Integration is viewed as an instance of established communication with a system of a particular type, the Integration Type. The Integration Type determines the connection method and objects of contact with the Target systems.

The document is focused on the configuration of integrations and data inventory as key characteristics of Target systems and communication with ObserveID.

Integration Basics

There is a Universal Connector component (also abbrev. as the UC) that establishes integration with Targets and ObserveID. For new signup of an organization to ObserveID, UC needs to be installed and running on-premises. For more details on UC, refer to how the system and the Universal Connector component interact with corporate resources.

For any guidance on the installation of UC and pre-requisites, refer to the UC Installation Guide.

And the reference on the available Integration Types, the connection parameters, schema attributes, etc., follows next.
