Integration Types

Integration Types, such as: the Amazon AWS integration type, the Oracle Peoplesoft integration type, the Linux integration type, the CSV integration type and other, - represent an established way of the communication between ObserveID and all the Targets of an integration.

An Integration Type determines all aspects of an integration functioning in ObserveID: from connection parameters, the authentication methods, functional capabilities available, and up to what integration data is imported, and how it can be processed before being displayed for the end user and more. Below is an overview of the software ObserveID can communicate with.

Integration TypesIntegration Types

An integration type can be generic or system-specific:

  • generic integration type allows the organization to set a data exchange with different systems under the same integration type. For example, the CSV integration type can be used to create a read-only connector for variety of systems. Another example is the REST API integration type which can be applicable for different systems with the requirement of the availability of the connection over API.
  • system-specific integrations are out-of-the-box connectors that have an established way of communication between ObserveID and the given system; and allow the organization to execute the specified set of integration operations on the target and import the integration data in full alignment with the integration data schema.
