Overview / Summary

The ObserveID 3.2 release delivers key enhancements across usability, performance, and data handling. This update simplifies creation workflows, improves remote session file upload speeds, enhances filtering in key areas, and expands file storage capabilities to new cloud environments. It also includes several interface refinements for a smoother, more intuitive user experience.

New Features & Enhancements

1. Simplified “Create New” Experience

The “Create New” process has been redesigned to improve clarity and usability.

  • Instead of opening a pop-up window, users are now redirected to a dedicated creation page displaying all available options.
  • The new layout presents clear choices for creating a Request, Integration, or Analytics Report, each with concise descriptions and guidance.
  • This streamlined approach helps users easily identify the correct option and start the creation process faster.

2. File Upload Speed Optimization

The Remote Session File Upload process has been enhanced with dynamic bandwidth allocation to improve performance and stability.

  • Adaptive Speed Control: Upload speeds now adjust automatically based on user activity within the remote session.
  • During high activity (mouse clicks, keyboard input, or program execution), bandwidth is intelligently distributed across tasks.
  • During idle periods, upload throughput increases, allowing faster file transfers.

This ensures efficient resource usage and a smoother remote experience, even during periods of high interaction.

3. Account Filtering – Save Preferences

Users can now save account filter configurations in the grid across two major areas:

  • My Access: Filters are saved per identity, ensuring personalized data views when reopening the grid.
  • Identities: Filters are saved globally across identities, promoting consistency when analyzing multiple user datasets.

This enhancement improves productivity and eliminates repetitive filter setup, providing a more personalized experience.

Minor Updates

4. UX / UI Enhancements

The 3.2 release introduces a series of subtle yet impactful interface refinements to improve usability and visual alignment:

  • Reduced spacing between the navigation panel and main content area for a more compact layout.
  • Expanded selector for choosing Analytics reports and new integrations, offering easier report management and visualization.
  • Workflows renamed to Requests to more accurately represent the functionality and user purpose.

These enhancements contribute to a cleaner interface and more intuitive navigation across modules.

5. File Storage Expansion

ObserveID now supports Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) File Storage, further extending its multi-cloud compatibility.

The integration of OCI File Storage benefits multiple platform features:

  • Session Recordings: Handles the upload and long-term storage of recorded videos.
  • Email Attachments & Themes: Enables efficient management of user-generated and system assets.
  • Integration Icon Uploads: Supports more flexible customization and branding.

This update enhances scalability and flexibility for enterprise customers operating in hybrid or Oracle Cloud environments.
